Growing up all over Canada as part of a military family, Jenny is now a Toronto-based theatre artist and educator, with strong ties to Ottawa, St. John’s, Vancouver, Halifax, and London, England. Jenny holds an MA in Text and Performance from RADA and King’s College, London, and is a graduate of the joint acting program at Sheridan College and the University of Toronto.
From Jenny: “I seek out creative spaces of unlikely encounters, in the studio, the classroom, the theatre, or a found environment. I find that strangeness and recognition are wrapped up together: we understand each other best in the small details of daily life. My practice is built upon the idea of diverse people gathered together, generating something new by being in each other’s presence. Public space that reveals us individually and as a society - that is the focus of my work”.
